2017 McClellan CARE Holiday Food Basket

2017 McClellan CARE Holiday Food Basket Fundraiser

McClellan Business Park and The Aerospace Museum of California have joined forces to help fight childhood hunger in our neighborhood. We are excited to bring you The 2017 McClellan CARE Holiday Food Basket Program!

The McClellan CARE Holiday Food Basket Program is an annual event which began in 2003. Since its inception we have raised over $295,000 and provided food baskets to more than 2,950 local families living at or below poverty level. These children and families attend five elementary schools within close proximity to McClellan Park and The Aerospace Museum of California.
During lengthy holiday breaks such as Christmas and Thanksgiving, school meals are simply not available. For many children, the only meal they receive is the one they have at school. These holidays should be a magical time for children, but sadly that is not the case for children living in poverty. Together we can change that, but we need your support.
The 2017 McClellan CARE Holiday Food Basket campaign hopes to brighten the holidays of those less fortunate. This is our 15th year of giving and we hope you will join us. Your generosity helped give the gift of a wonderful holiday meal to 325 families last year alone. We hope we can count on your support to make the holidays a happier time for many underprivileged children.
The baskets we provide include food for a warm holiday meal, a grocery gift card for perishable items and additional food staples to help feed the family during the two week winter break. We also include a board game and book for the entire family to enjoy.
This year our fundraising goal is $35,000 in the hopes of providing 350 baskets to families in need at F.C. Joyce, Bell Ave., Madison Elementary, Dry Creek Elementary and Gateway Community Charter School. 100% of all donations received are used to help local children and families in need and are tax deductible to the extent allowable by law.
We are accepting cash, check & credit card donations now through December 1, 2017.
Please make a donation today and help a family in need.
